Drift
In 2006 we founded studio DRIFT with the vision of creating design that reacts to and questions human behavior. We are curious about the future, not only the new technologies that are changing design, but also the evolutionary developments in nature and human culture. We strive to find the perfect combination of knowledge and intuition, science fiction and nature, fantasy and interactivity. Our goal is to create a dialogue between the viewer and the objects we create, embodied in tangible objects that refer to realities that are often impenetrable and difficult to understand.
In this time of information overload and exaggerated senses, we hope that our work emphasizes the metaphysical quality of human sensations, establishes a point of balance in the midst of the contradictions of daily life, stresses immaterial, spiritual and emotional values. We are searching for balance in our Communication Age.
We bring these feelings and new (digital)technologies into real life through our work. and because of our goals, light has been one of our favorite mediums, light expresses emotions in a very direct way.
We have a great curiosity about what the future might bring.
