Hooked Music

Working from the custom built Groove Echo studio he shares with colleague Marek Glapinski in the Beehive Villa, Chris Littlewood’s Hooked Music company, brings over 10 years experience to producing all styles of music, with a focus on mixing and mastering music; providing a range of further services to meet the demands of today’s media clients’.

Overseeing all aspects of sound creation and manipulation: from conception right through to the finished product, whatever format that may be, the quality of each product remains as high as it can possibly be!

Based on a clients’ bespoke needs, we are equipped and ready to record, mix and master everything from solo vocals to a full orchestra and everything in between: audio books, spoken word, TV voiceovers, sound fx (foley) and post production, drum recordings, Ableton fixes and mixes, are just some of the services we can provide. We also provide a few more unique options to cater for the analogue market such as tape transfers & restoration, direct to 2 track tape recording for that true vintage feel, and even individual “dub plate” vinyl cutting can be arranged on request – of course if you want to press up larger runs of vinyl we can help with this too!

The studio is hardware based with the recording side built around an Otari Radar system with a Studer console and Dynaudio Acoustics monitoring. To complement this we have a range of outboard processing including Focusrite, TC Electronic, Joe Meek, Aphex and Electrix, as well as a selection of guitar pedals, and a few reel-to-reel tape machines. On the software side we mainly use Pro Tools and Logic, however we also use other DAWs where necessary, like Ableton and Wave Editor, and Bias Peak.

For sound creation again the studio is focussed around hardware – analogue and digital, with all the major players featuring – Akai, Roland, Korg and Novation amongst others.

Our range of contacts and affiliates both within the beehives network and worldwide, can help us to provide other additional services, like artwork design, video making, motion graphics and music pressing; making us a one-stop shop for all the stages of music production should it be needed by the client.
